For those of you that want to become a CNA or Certified Nurse Assistant, you must pass the certification exam. The classes you take will prepare you for the exam. The NNAAP or National Nurse Aide Assessment Program is the exam you must pass. The NNAAP is the largest certified nursing assistant test in the U.S. The NNAAP has administered well over a million CNA candidates and ranks tops in nurse aide exams.
The NNAAP or nurse aide exam consists of two parts: a written section or an oral section and a skill oriented portion. The oral portion of the exam is offered in Spanish and English. Each person must pass both portions of the exam before the state can add their name to the states nurse aide registry. The states registry was put in place to let each state know that the person they may or may not hire has been through the proper training and passed.
